Brewery Ruck 2021 Benefiting Nourish NC
Initial preblast from Buckeye:

Mark your calendars for 1:00 pm on July 10 for the latest edition of EPOs CSAUP extravaganza 2nd-F style!

We will be doing a Brewery Ruck around Wilmington benefiting Nourish NC. This is an excellent chance to hang out with your fellow PAX!

We’ll start and end at New Anthem’s Greenfield Street location, completing a 13 mile loop and enjoying the best beer Wilmington has to offer. Come for the whole Ruck or whatever you can manage and enjoy some Fellowship with your F3 brothers!

In conjunction with the brewery hopping, we’ll have a bin set up at each brewery to collect food donations for those kids in need of food this summer!

We’re creating a little friendly competition by assigning PAX locations to the breweries to see who can bring in the most food. These will be finalized before the Ruck. We will plan to have a Nameorama at each one and post to Slack as we go so folks can follow our progress and jump in when they can.

The full map is below and breweries covered are:

  • New Anthem Greenfield – Stingray
  • Waterline Brewing – Scorpions
  • New Anthem Dock – Average Joes
  • Front Street Brewing – Average Joes
  • Edward Teach – Average Joes
  • Hi-Wire Brewing – Mambas
  • Flying Machine Brewing – Megalodons
  • Wilmington Brewing Company – Gorillaz

.

Please jump over to the #f3-brewery-ruck channel for updates and we look forward to seeing everyone out and making a difference for our local kids this summer!

Hype from Buckeye:

Thank you to all the PAX blasting about the brewery ruck. It’s going to be an epic time and word is getting out. @EPO, this was an amazing F2 idea 1st announced by you at Run Forest Run in early June and it’s going to be epic!! This HIMs leadership is going to drive some excellent fellowship!! Shout out to @Special K, an extremely unselfish HIM who recommended getting Nourish NC engaged in this event. These two gentlemen represent the best of what F3 can offer to our community, the region and the PAX in general. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday!!!! Below is the list of preferred foods. Thank you in advance for the donations, may the best AO win!!!

Final Summary and Thanks from Buckeye:

PAX! Aside from some excellent F2, we collectively hauled in 1720 lbs of food for Nourish NC, what an amazing effort!! Thank you to the breweries for having us and hosting a bin drop-off and of course to everyone who participated and donated food, we definitely made an impact!

Thoughts from LETC:

The Iron Project week 28 - Brewery Ruck - A classic 1 to 2 to 3 triple play. If you are new to this rucking thing, it might sound a little silly. Why are grown men putting on heavy back packs and walking all over the place? If you are still asking that question, then you obviously missed the 1st Annual Brewery Ruck. This CSAUP (completely stupid and utterly pointless) event knocked it out of the park and turned a 1st F, 2nd F, 3rd F triple play that was amazing. The Fitness requirement was tough. It was HOT, the miles were long, and the dang back pack got heavy. The Fellowship was magic. Thanks for sharing your stories with me @Beaufort and @ShowMe. Plus we made a real difference with the groceries gathered for NourishNC (Faith - belief in something beyond ourselves). Tclaps to @Buckeye and @EPO for putting on an amazing event. So yeah, buy a back pack, throw a brick in it, and find a brother to go rucking. You may be surprised at where the trail can lead. SYITG
