I guess @snooki got confused from his preblast and showed up at the wrong AO this morning. So YHC led 4 four other runners through a round of seal claps and chain breakers before running through Mott’s Landing. We got in 4.5 miles and had some great mumble chatter. Thanks for pushing me to get the miles in this morning!

Did Dark Helmet give F3 the day off today? Maybe daylight savings time ended early this year?? I wondered that as my watch struck 0530 in Wrightsville Beach this morning.
There I was, I had just finished up this morning’s EMOM that I was also a party of one for, and began reviewing my workout plan for the day. Normally, by 0525, a couple of pax start rolling in, so I didn’t think much of it. But today would prove to be different.
As the time started to inch closer to 0530, still no F3. As I looked around, I saw a pair of runners crossing over the bridge, a couple walking past the surf shop, and a crazy man barking at a dog that was barking at him (and no, that wasn’t me barking at the dog).
By 0532, I realized that today would be a lonely day for me. I looked up at the sky and wondered if there was another F3 pax standing by himself in a dark parking lot looking up at the same star, longing for a group of pax to torture…or, maybe I finally did it…I scared all of you away from a Steak Knives Q.
Oh well. Hopefully you are all well and found a better place to post and didn’t let the fart sack win today. Go out and make it a great day today F3 Cape Fear. Hopefully I’ll see you somewhere in the Gloom this week. I have the Q tomorrow at the Cotton Exchange so I hope to see some of you there

A strange premonition of evil settled over myself Sunday afternoon. As the storms lazily rolled in I found myself pondering, “why haven’t they posted the IPC Week 3 challenge yet?”
Little did I know, it was only delayed due to the madness that was to come. The sinister, senseless, sadistic, strange, and senile PAX of Indianapolis had planned one of the moss gruesome challenges yet; The Cindy 500!
I thought my pecs would tear, my thighs would explode, and my mind descend into madness. Luckily, NAPA brought his speaker and played sweet melodic tunes to bring our energy up!
The 6 was picked up at the end and we all finished stronger, but more bitter towards Blockies than we had before.

Requirements Ruck w 40lb minimum 1 Lt water Gloves Carabineer
Warmorama; 20 ruck squats, 10 pebble pickers, 113 stepups, 23 squats, 37 OH presses
The Thang; This Ruck Crushers was themed after 3rd Infantry Division campaign in Italy. My focus was on Lt Maurice “Foostsie” Britt’s L Company as they battled for hill Monte Rotundo. During this engagement Lt Britt’s L company was vastly outnumbered and going up against the only Nazi paratroop company in Italy. Despite being wounded by grenade shrapnel and shot in the side, Lt Britt fought with anything he could (including rocks) and inspired his men to drive the paratroopers of Mont Rotundo. For this action he was awarded the Medal of Honor. Dad Joke was charged with leading the men to our landing where we would have to low crawl to our supplies.
Our supplies consisted of; Large metal box Stretcher 33’ Tire 60 & 40lb sand bags Large duffle bag with gear 50lb
Dad Joke was then directed to proceed to our first hill (CFCC parking deck @ Wilson Center). Upon arrival we traversed to the top deck and crossed over to the next set of stairs went down/back up. Tried to mimic the up and down of the terrain, minus the loose footing, bushes, trees, bugs and bullets. Rinse and repeat until all stairwells have been completed.
Kept Dad Joke as PL, next location was the parking deck down the street from the Post Office. This time we utilized the stretcher to carry a wounded soldier (duffelbag and sand bags). Pax transported stretcher up and down remaining stairwells and stopped on the upper deck. Carried stretcher down ramps for that extra grip fatigue. Dad Joke moved everyone out to Endex.
Things of note; Malcolm in the Middle has GUNS!!!, Blood Donor has GAS!!!!, Steak Knives barely broke a sweat, Buddy the Elf almost died and Dad Joke led these knuckleheads well.
Lt Maurice “Footsie” Britt Awards; Medal of Honor Distinguished Service Cross Silver Star Bronze Star Purple Heart (4) Army Commendation Medal Presidential Unit Citation Combat Infantryman Badge British Military Cross Italian Military Medal for Valor

Warmorama 50SSH (Hahvad’s are the cutest), 20 merkins, 10 gravel pickers Monday was Sept 11, there was a solid group that completed the WOD.
Hello Kitty has a podcast called Pick Up the Six with FDNY Peter Blaich from 2021. It was raw, powerful and made me ponder what I would have done thrust into a situation like that. https://www.pickupthesix.com/post/167-remembering-9-11-with-fdny-s-peter-blaich-archive-episode-63
I wanted to honor those men and women once more. First Responders that died that day 343 Firefighters 23 NYPD 37 Port Authority Officers
The Thang; We listened to Blaich describe how Ladder 9 crew went from the mission of fighting the fire to ensuring civilians made it out alive.
1 lap around the loop
3 rounds of the following 113 ruck stepups 23 ruck/sandbag squats 37 ruck OH presses
Everything was done together. Dixie Chick generously shared what he experienced that day and then 21 years later visiting Ground Zero with his boys.
